The BackBeat Pro 5100s aren't the most flashy or stylish true wireless earbuds around, and nor do they offer the absolute best sound quality - but that really isn't what they've set out to do anyway.

The BackBeat Pro 5100s aren't the most flashy or stylish true wireless earbuds around, and nor do they offer the absolute best sound quality - but that really isn't what they've set out to do anyway.
Even if they don't reach the same heights that some of the more premium entries in the category do, I get the sense that the BackBeat 5100 are probably going to sound good enough for most people.
Snappy design; Good battery life; Competitive price
Not very isolating; Plastic feel
The Plantronics BackBeat Pro 5100 totally wireless earbuds are comfortable to wear and stylish enough to go from the office to the gym. Battery life is above average for true wireless earbuds and sound quality makes any genre of music sound true to form.
IP54 rating; Voice alerts; Comfortable; Auto play/pause; Sound quality
microUSB charging case; Pairing process took a few tries; Audio-visual lag
Just recently got these. No regrets. I was considering getting the airpods 2, but I decided to go with something different than just your standard ear buds. I wanted to get them from a brand that focuses on headphones. My gosh are they great!
Plantronics dipped its toes in the true wireless earbuds market last year - with mitigated results. While it nailed the product's design and features, connectivity was an issue that you only noticed if you spent a lot of time out in the open.
Comfort They're light; fit very well; and can be worn for hours without discomfort; Volume controls Many true wireless earbuds skip these; so it's nice to have them here; Sound quality Plantronics continues to deliver good sound with every product it releases
Still MicroUSB It's unjustifiable at this point; Price $170 is too much; considering the lack of USB-C; wireless charging; or active noise cancellation
Been awhile since I saw the Backbeat Pro moniker on any of Plantronics products with them mostly focusing on their Go and Fit series of headphones. After Plantronics first entry into truly wireless last year with the Fit 3100 they have gone the premium route with the Backbeat Pro 5100.
The Backbeat Pro 5100 earbuds major on the clarity of sound when making voice calls, with four noise-cancelling microphones and WindSmart technology that eliminates noise from wind and other background sources. Plantronics also pushes audio quality, thanks to a snug in-ear fit and 5.8mm drivers.
