After a year or two, my camera started to give me black pictures randomly. And now, it's impossible to get any picture via the viewfinder, they are all black. The only solution is to take them in LV mode. Pentax refuse to recognize the problem and leave the users on themselves.

I have had the k-50 -years, and was pleased with it. the image quality is great, dynamic range good, video adequate, lenses good (I have the 15-55 wr and the 55-300) overall I was satisfied. But in November of 2017 my wife was trying to take a picture of me when the camera images went dark.

The Pentax K50 is a solid, satisfying camera, its sensor is capable of excellent results but it is still lacking a bit in terms of focus speed.

First "proper" digital camera I have had to replace my 35mm SLR. Can still use all my old filters, lenses etc and the live view means I can see if they are correctly exposed etc. So very pleased

As a Pentax user from the days of MF, I've wanted a DSLR for a while, and a bit of a windfall allowed me to return a borrowed model from another manufacturer, and buy this cracker.

We are not camera experts by any measure but we decided we wanted to get a DSLR as we weren't happy with the quality of our point-and-shoot cameras. We were considering the Rebel but once we got an idea of how big the Rebel was we decided to shop around... we're very glad we did!

Amazing camera. I just love this camera. The so many functions and so easy to use (please read manual). You can also set specific buttons as your your favourite settings that you would like to keep which helps a lot during photography. The colour and hsarpness is very good.

I bought this camera for my daughter as a birthday present and she seems very happy with it so far. It offers lots of different settings and features so she is working her way through understanding and trying them all out.
