Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 Review

The Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 ($599.99), available for full-frame L-mount cameras, sets itself apart from other standard zoom lenses with a broad, wide angle of view. It opens up to 20mm, compared with the expected 24mm or 28mm, and adds utility and versatility for landscape photographers and vloggers alike. The lens is built well too, and should be your first choice if you're looking for an affordable, lightweight zoom for your Leica, Panasonic, or Sigma mirrorless camera. That earns it our Editors' Choice award.Wider Than Most The Lumix S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 is a relatively lightweight zoom, especially when you consider its 20mm starting point, a focal length that borders on ultra-wide. It measures 3.4 by 3.1 inches (HD), weighs just 12.4 ounces, and supports 67mm front filters. Panasonic uses polycarbonate for the barrel, both the outer portion and the inner section that telescopes as the zoom is adjusted. It's a quality material, not a cheap plastic, and the build is bo...

The Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6's wider-than-normal coverage, coupled with quality construction, makes it the best starter lens for any full-frame camera system.

20mm wide-angle coverage; Excellent optics; No visible focus breathing; Dust, splash, and fluorine protection; Light and compact; Works with Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma cameras

Edges aren't that sharp at 20mm; Omits optical stabilization

Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens - BRAND NEW review

As a kit lens, the Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 represents excellent value for money since it only adds about AU$500 to the overall price for the kit. Even as a stand-alone lens, you won’t find many similarly priced lenses as well built as this one.

Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens - Brand New review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 isn't much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it's still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch
