30mm is my favorite walk-around lens for MFT. I like a little compression, especially for portraits. I agonized over the Panasonic 30 2.8 micro and the new Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens. I ordered the Sigma lens but returned it after a few test shots; too many artifacts and purple fringing.

Great lens! Works great with my Olympus O M-D E-M10 at a fraction of the price for the comparable Olympus Macro lens.

This lovely little lens is very small very light and pin sharp! At the 35mm equivalent of 60mm it makes an excellent standard prime lens with the benefit of ful 1.1 macro capability! It works well on my LUMIX G6 and would thoroughly recommend it!

Panasonic's just-announced Lumix G Macro 30mm f/2.8 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. lens is the second dedicated macro lens the company has produced for Micro Four Thirds cameras and the third macro lens available for the format to date.

Nice sharp pictures, reasonably fast, good look. It isn't telephoto though so requires getting pretty close to smaller subjects. Good for close up portraiture too. Very pleased for the price.

Glad to have bought it as wanted to add a macro lens to my Lumix equipment. So far, very pleased, it does exactly what it should!

The Panasonic G Macro 30 mm f/2.8 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. is the cheapest macro lens dedicated to the Micro Four Thirds system. What’s important, you don’t notice that cheapness anywhere. It is a mechanically solid instrument with a lot of metal parts, produced in Japan.

The Panasonic Lumix G 30mm f/2.8 ASPH Mega OIS macro delivered a more than solid performance during our tests. The lens is extremely sharp especially at f/2.8 and f/4. Low lateral CAs contributed to the very high sharpness perception.

If you're looking for a convenient and simple macro lens (that can do double-duty as a compact portrait lens) to throw in a bag without needing a tripod, the Panasonic 30mm ƒ/2.8 Macro is a good choice; its implementation of image stabilization will let you get down to 1/8th of a second.
