The HC-X1E is a professionally orientated 4K camcorder from Panasonic, with a price tag to match. It goes head-to-head with Canon's XC10 , or more likely the recent XC15 update. With a host of manual controls including built-in Neutral Density filter and professional audio connections, the HC-X1E is...
Great 4K image quality; Comprehensive range of manual controls; Professional XLR audio inputs
Fixed lens; High-speed options max out at 50/60 frames/sec
Very happy with this Panasonic !!! Prior to the HC-X1, I was shooting using my Canon C100. Having now used the HC-X1 on a few gigs, I can say that it outperforms the Canon C100. The fact that it is a fixed-lens camera doesn't bother me in the least; I am more concerned with shoot quality.
This camera is excellent and very good value for money. The quality is stunning , the wide angle is unique ( at the point of writing ) and gives SLR type wide views from an ENG format camera. The 50p/60p in 4k makes filming moving objects look much better.
Great for daytime "out-in-the-field" work and well lite studios, but not much of anything else. Good camera for beginners who don't really know what they are doing but it take a real professional with in depth knowledge of lighting and vidography to work this camera to it's full potential....
Compact; Durable; Easy to use
Depth of Field far Too Narow; Horrible in low light conditions; Rolling Shutter on anything that move too fast
Just the best.......
Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Simple Controls
