"Love it everything i wanted in a player

Highlights here are broad HDR support and an excellent image performance with user tweaks. The basic remote and user interface, plus average CD playback, take the shine off.

Bought my DP-UB820 offered by Crutchfield. Found a bit of a quirk in that if only one high-speed HDMI cable is used to connect to the receiver (Marantz SR7012 in my case) then 4K discs play fine but BlueRay discs encounter random pauses while playing (related to layer switching I think).

Excellent 4K imagery. Lots of adjustments available to tailor the picture. Plenty of ways to connect video or audio

Needs both HDMI ports used for best results

The DP-UB820 is an outstanding UHD Blu-ray player that matches the reference- level playback of Panasonic's previous UB900 but adds much-needed features to optimize HDR playback. I would have liked to have seen refinements in operability, but its overall video performance is without peer.

I've only had the DVD player for a few weeks but really pleased so far. I decided I needed to buy it before they stopped being available! It was easy to set up and picture quality on DVDs is excellent, though that of course might be thanks to my tv. Early days but happy so far.

I have researched several players over the last couple of years. I had difficulty deciding whether discs have a future if I did purchase another player I didn't want to have to part with a kidney to pay for it. Panasonic have just produced a couple of newer model players at 2019 CES .

Nothing works on this unit.

This is a full size Blu Ray DVD and Audio discs player. The picture quality is excellent and I agree with the reviews if you don't need top quality audio replay (as sounds from CDs are only average), and top line construction, as this player is very light plasticky construction, but for the price...
