"Super-Panasonic"

Back in 2012, my husband decided that he wanted to watch more films and requested a blu-ray player for his birthday. This was the first blu-ray player we had ever owned and I chose this Panasonic (DMP BD75) based on previous positive experiences with the Panasonic brand.

Reliable; easy to use; excellent picture quality

This model no longer widely available

Buyers would be better off saving a little money and buying a less expensive Samsung, Sony or Toshiba player.

Surprising disappointment

When it works, it produces great video both on DVD and Blu-Ray. The firmware issues, freezing, and very, very, very slow Network features (Netflix especially) make this a terror to use. I was expecting, at the very least, a functioning product even for an entry level blu-ray player from Panasonic.

Compact

Did not meet expectations; Difficult to use; Poor quality

I was looking for a player that plays Blu-Ray discs and DVD, but also wanted to play movies i had on my PC (DivX/Xvid)
In the past ive put the films on a USB stick and played them that way.

Connectivity; Easy to use menu; Great Quality Playback; Usb Stick Movies

No HDMI cable in box

Panasonic DMP-BD75

The Panasonic DMP-BD75 ($120) is a relatively basic component Blu-ray player . It supports output resolutions up to 1080p, and offers wired (but not wireless) access to Netflix, CinemaNow, Napster, and Vudu, but lacks support for Hulu Plus, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pandora, and other common...

Panasonic has introduced an entry-level range for Blu-ray players. These players are available at cost-effective prices under 10k. The player comes with compact design and offers excellent performance. However, this 3D Blu-ray device of Panasonic is not equipped with Wi-Fi facilities.

DLNA networking; Supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio; New ultra-slim design; USB port; DivX HD and MKV support; LED display

Lack of memory or Wi-Fi; Absence of AAC; WMV or WMA

Panasonic DMP-BD75

The Panasonic DMP-BD75 is a basic, entry-level Blu-ray player. This model isn't 3D compatible, but it can still be hooked up to a network or to the web for access to BD-Live content and DLNA connections.

Low power use; Clear; user-friendly menu; Accurate image quality

More effort could have been made with the design; Build and finish could be better
