Oura Ring review: Smart jewelry you won’t want to take off
I have never gotten on very well with wearing rings. I always ended up taking them off and storing them safely, either because they get annoying, or it was only a matter of time before I took it off and forgot where I put it. I'm wearing Oura, the smart ring NBA players are using to warn of possible COVID-19
The Oura ring senses temperature, and it could be the beginning of a new wave of wearable health awareness in a time of pandemic. I go to bed too late every night and wake up feeling groggy. I peel away my CPAP mask. I wear two silver rings, one on each hand: one is my wedding ring and one is the Oura ring. It doesn't beep, or blink, or vibrate. I just wear it -- sleeping, showering, all the time. Occasionally, I check the Oura app on my phone. It says: Here's your readiness score. Or, this is how you slept. I can see my temperature fluctuations through the app. I can see my heart rate.
