I bought this to replace another powered hub that I have been using (MBeat 7 port hub). I do Android development and have been having nothing but problems keeping my devices connected to the Android debugger. I thought it was the USB port on my laptop. After I figured out that it wasn't my USB port, I decided to replace the hub with this one. No problems since the switchover and I'm really happy with this unit.

I have used quite of few powered USB Port Hubs over the years. This is the best one yet. Got it last December. Having checked out AliExpress, I was very pleased with the local price. It has independent power switches for every set of 3 ports. When using multiple USBs for downloads and transferring data, it is so easy to keep track of which set of sticks are in current use. This works very well on my NUC which has only 3 USB ports as I have 6 permanent devices requiring USB connections to my system including 3 wireless devices. Saves a lot of plug swapping which is a real pain.

No problem found with 12 USB devices
