Most of us remember past years of standard definition TV, VHS tapes, and even fiddling with "rabbit ear" antennas in an often-futile attempt to reduce the static on one of the few channels that actually came in.

While it may not be the last word in transparency and outright accuracy for the money, the Optoma UHZ65 raises the profile of the laser projector at this price point.It isn't particularly beautiful to look at, but the performance it is capable of most certainly is.

Great projector, bright and sharp. If you use your PC for anything other than movies this projector really cleans up the view. Fonts and such look great on web pages and games are good too. I do not see any lag despite the specs.

If you have a room you want to watch in that has ambient light, this projector does a great job of producing a picture with great contrast and brightness. My last projector was not usable with more than the lightest ambient light.

There is only one logical thing to do after you've created one of the most impressive and best value 4K HDR projectors around: You add lasers, of course.

Came across this projector as I had the UHD65. I asked for the latest C11 firmware but Optoma sent me the C08 one by mistake. Jason was really helpful and got me a contact for the firmware upgrade. Thanks a lot!
