Oppo R15 Pro review: A compelling mid-tier option with lots of value and few compromises

As someone who found the last two entries in Oppo’s R-series a little stale, the Oppo R15 feels like a breath of fresh air. Sure, the R7, R9 and R11 have all been solid devices that have emulated some of the strengths of Apple's iOS products without the caveat of having to buy into the company’s constrictive ecosystem.

The R15 Pro sees Oppo bring more of that flagship experience to the sub-$800 smartphone space than ever before to generous effect.

Phenomenal hardware; Much-improved software experience;

No wireless charging; Camera capabilities lag behind flagship competition;

OPPO R15 Pro (6GB RAM, 128GB, Purple) - Grade (Excellent) review

IP rating (new), great camera in most light conditions, cool body colours. It is very close to the flagship level but a few hundred dollars cheaper. It obviously appeals to the younger market – as much as I love Ruby Red or Cosmic Purple, it is not for me.

6.28" AMOLED screen, IP 67 rating, duual camera and Ruby Red or Cosmic Purple - what more do you want?

No OIS on the camera

Simple, beautiful and stands up to the task

Bought just over 6 weeks ago. So far no issues. The camera is so crisp and smooth, even in low light. The facial recognition is about 97% on point and the finger print has worked everytime. The headphones kinda suck, but a small detail really.

Oppo R15 Pro Smartphone - Ruby Red

The Ruby Red color is a bonus along with the Vooc fast five-minute charge for 2 hours use. The speed camera or Al enhanced camera is great for those car trips where stopping is impossible.

Goondu Review: Oppo R15 Pro is a great selfie camera but too costly

If you've only seen Xiaomi and Huawei as the top Chinese-made phones until now, Oppo wants you to also consider its new R15 Pro as a well-made alternative as well.

After about a week of using the OPPO R15 Pro on a daily basis, here's what I think about the new release. The R15 Pro currently has one of the slimmest bezels out there with a screen to body ratio of 89% while it's sibling, the R15 has 90%. The phone also features a little notch on the top.

It's past time for us to talk about Oppo's R15 Pro. With its successor just announced, and the R15 Pro widely available across Australian carriers and MVNOs on both pre/post-paid plans, you're sure to find it on offer if you're out shopping for a phone.

OPPO R15 Pro Review: A "Premium" Mid-Ranger With Style

OPPO has combined a stellar camera with a ceramic back and an OLED display to create what might be the best "mid-range" smartphone on the market. OPPO is one of the largest smartphone makers in

Great Camera performance in low light; Great build quality; Incredible display; Stellar battery life

Availability; Still Using a Micro USB Connector; Sports a notch and a chin; it should ideally be one or the other
