The player seems fine and does whet I bought it for, to play cd's. It seems to have plenty of bells & whistles, non of which I've experimented with, yet. So, maybe I overbought Or, maybe I'll get to playing with it when the darkness and cold of winter drives me to boredom.
It works
It does not hold 400 cd's
This was a replacement unit for TEAC 5-Disc CD player. I already own an ONKYO Receiver (older GEN). The new pairing worked OK. Sound is good quality but likely better had I been able to link up the digital cable. The older ONKYO receiver does not possess a digital link hookup. Otherwise all is well.
Holy cripe, I can't believe no one mentioned the size of this thing in any of the reviews I read (I didn't read them all, but many). It is a full 2" deeper than my stereo cabinet PLUS the cables sticking out the back. Who makes a component for a stereo that doesn't fit a normal stereo cabinet
Well at the moment seeing that I hav,nt had it very long it works with my Kenwood amp o.k and everything seems to work. When it arrived the only thing wrong at first was that the plug where the screw held it together was broken but I had an adaptor for that.Other than that quite pleased.
I am giving this a two star because it stops working. We have had it for about nine months. In order to use the warranty, we have to pay for shipping to a repair shop (there are none in our state). Plus the random feature takes quite a while in between songs, the random search seems excessive.
The Onkyo DX-C390 gives you just what you want from a CD changer: good sound quality plus the convenience of long-running play. While most multi-disc players can hold only five CDs, this one takes up to six, keeping the music running longer.
Good sound quality; 6-disc capacity; Easy to use; Low price
Some durability complaints; No USB input
Needed to replace 10 year old Denon CD player which failed, found the first Onkyo to be price and function compatible. Don't play CD as often as I used to but still wanted access to my CD library.
This was easy to install and works fantastic. All other CD player are usually 5 disc for the same price and this is 6 disc so we get longer play time. Great buy.
I bought this unit to replace a Philips CD recorder CD changer that was skipping a lot. The Onkyo has a very nice warm sound and a lot more quite to operate.
Attractive; Doesn't Skip; Easy To Set Up; Great Sound; Simple Controls
