OnePlus 7T Review
The OnePlus 7T succeeds where the OnePlus 7 failed – it isn't just an incremental update, it's a welcome overhaul and a worthy alternative to the 7 Pro. It combines stellar design with an excellent stills and video camera, not to mention a very good-looking 90Hz screen.- Incredibly smooth video
- Great stills camera
- Stunning 90Hz display
- No headphone jack
- No wireless charging
- No expandable storage
OnePlus 7T Review: A Refreshing Reset Of Expectations
From its humble start making "flagship killers" in 2014, OnePlus has become one of the fastest-growing smartphone makers, ranking in the top five globally and overtaking brands like Sony, HTC and even LG - the same companies OnePlus once sought to take down.
OnePlus 7T is a true flagship-level smartphone for less than $1000
OnePlus has had quite the journey in a short amount of time. The Chinese company has built a reputation for delivering premium tier flagship smartphones at lower prices than the competition, becoming a major smartphone player globally in just five years.
OnePlus 7T review: Almost the perfect budget flagship
The OnePlus 7T sounds like my perfect phone on paper, packing a nice high-end chipset, a bright 1,000 nit 90Hz screen, and the latest Android 10 software. While flagships are pushing the market into fatigue at over a thousand dollars, this phone champions affordability at "just" $600.- Display 90Hz is super smooth
- and the screen gets quite bright for easy visibility outside
- Super macro camera Being able to focus as close as an inch away won't be useful for most people
- but it's very useful for me.
- Display again I examined two units
- and the screen is much less uniform at lower brightness than the older OnePlus 7 Pro
- which is especially unpleasant when using Android 10's dark themes.
OnePlus 7T review: Just the right amount of ‘pro'
The reasons to not buy a OnePlus phone are rapidly shrinking. Where design, carrier support, and camera were all detriments on previous models, OnePlus has turned those from cons into pros over the past few models, and the $599 OnePlus 7T is truly a phone any manufacturer would be proud to call a...
OnePlus 7T Review: The Real Upgrade
Between the OnePlus 7T and its more expensive Pro brother, the former is a better buy if you're looking to upgrade to a flagship this 2019. There's really no describing how smooth that 90Hz refresh rate looks in person, which is just cherry on top of a really nice-looking fluid AMOLED panel.
OnePlus 7T
I find the OnePlus 7T very confusing, but I'd feel less confused if the OnePlus 7 Pro didn't exist. Taken purely on its own, as a $599 alternative to the iPhone XR or Galaxy S10e, it has a lot going for it-a terrifically responsive screen with a smooth UI, fast charging, and excellent wireless...- Good price for fast, smooth performance
- Excellent wireless capabilities
- Fast charging
- Poor low-light camera performance
- Less storage and shorter battery life than the OnePlus 7 Pro
OnePlus 7T Review
The OnePlus 7T for T-Mobile has terrific performance for its price, but it occupies an uncomfortable place in the company's phone lineup. For years, OnePlus had a simple strategy: Release one phone, its best, at any given time. Often that was two phones a year, but that was fine; each phone was its best at the moment. This year, the company has already released three versions of the OnePlus 7: the OnePlus 7, the 7 Pro, and the 7 Pro 5G. The $599 OnePlus 7T is not actually a sequel to the 7 Pro, although it replaces the 7 Pro on T-Mobile's shelves. It's the sequel to the 7. (There's also a 7T Pro, but it isn't coming to the US.) Yes, it's confusing. And this confusion trickles over into the phone itself, which feels like a step back from the OnePlus 7 Pro. A Flatter Screen The OnePlus 7T is roomy. It measures 6.33 by 2.93 by 0.32 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.70 ounces. The screen is flat, not curved; the extra edges make the difference between the 7T's 6.55 inches and the 7 Pro's 6.67 inches on the same-size body. There's a notch at the top of the screen for the front-facing camera that doesn't bother. I like a flat s...- Good price for fast, smooth performance
- Excellent wireless capabilities
- Fast charging
- Poor low-light camera performance
- Less storage and shorter battery life than the OnePlus 7 Pro
OnePlus 7T review: Simple, excellent, and no messing around
OnePlus' latest does more than any other phone at this price- A versatile
- capable camera system
- 90Hz screen is wonderfully smooth
- Great performance
- Super-fast battery charging
- Some software glitches
- 128GB storage is all you get
OnePlus 7T Review: Return to form
OnePlus' latest smartphone reminds me why I love the brand- The camera is really decent
- Haptic engine is one of the best I've used
- Man is it fast
- I would have loved to lose the notch
- The camera bump is massive
- OnePlus has the worst ambient display options
