OnePlus 6T 6GB 128GB

The OnePlus 6T gets lots of plus marks for bringing us a whole lot of cool features!

Super-fast sensor

The in-display fingerprint sensor is, according to OnePlus, the fastest in-display reader in the industry with an unlock time of approximately .34 seconds. That's blink of an eye stuff!

An amazing display for the money: The display on the OnePlus 6T rivals those on more expensive phones thanks to an expansive 6.4-inch AMOLED (2340 x 1080) panel and a less obtrusive dewdrop notch. The slimmer camera cut-out is another smart design idea that makes the display feel almost edge-to-edge.

Cameras to smile about

OnePlus has made all sorts of improvements to their cameras including enhanced HDR and portrait modes and new studio lighting modes that recognize faces and simulate studio-quality lighting. The new Night photography feature is also worthy of mention, giving great results in low light.

Inside information

Inside the OnePlus 6T is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, with 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on the model, and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. On the software side of things, the new Smart Boost mode stores app data in memory to improve cold boot times. This means much faster app launch times, with an improvement of up to 25%, depending on the app.

A plus-sized battery

The OnePlus 6T features a big and powerful 3,700mAh battery and fast-charging also makes a return, so you quickly top up your phone when the battery finally starts to run a little low.

OnePlus 6T Review

The OnePlus 6T is a great device that offers features to more expensive Android smartphones but for less. It also offers solid performance, basically stock Android and a good camera.

Solid build quality; Cheaper than similar specced Android smartphones; Great camera; All-day battery life; Quick performance; The in-display fingerprint sensor is good when it works

More expensive than previous models; Fingerprint sensor needs refinement

OnePlus 6T

This is how I know I'm in a tech bubble: When I'm with colleagues and peers at work, mostly everyone is familiar with OnePlus . But once I step out into daylight, say, when someone at a party asks what I do and then follows that up to ask what phones I like, I'm always caught off guard when they...

The OnePlus 6T offers top-notch hardware including a lightning-speed processor and an excellent camera for hundreds of dollars less than its competitors; For US customers, it works on Verizon's network

The phone doesn't have a headphone jack or a water-resistant design; Its in-screen fingerprint reader should work a tad faster

As a company, OnePlus have brand recognition amongst phone fans that's hard to emulate from some of even the biggest brands in the market. Their devices are coveted, even if they're not easily accessible here in Australia.

OnePlus 6T has few tweaks and improvements when compared to its predecessor, OnePlus 6, such as bigger battery and much improved Oxygen OS. The latest prodigy has stunning user experience, fluidic performance, light weight, sleek, attractive glass design and Dash charger.

Earlier this year we took a detailed look at the and determined it was one of the best values in Android flagship smartphones on the market. The OP6 has a beautiful, large display, a clean near-stock Android setup and great performance with 6GB or 8GB RAM standard at price points of $529 and $579...

Quality; premium design; Great 6.41-inch OLED display; Excellent performance; 8GB of RAM; yes please; Great battery life; Clean Android 9 Pie OS; Great value for the dollar; Top-notch battery life

Not quite IP68 resistant; No wireless charging; In-display fingerprint scanner sometimes slow with too many rejects; Camera performance solid but seems like there's untapped potential
