Great lens for OM-D E-M1

I purchased this lens before the 12-40mm lens was released to have a walk around lens for my OM-D E-M1. The zoom range and f- stop combination is ideal for most of my photography, landscapes and informal portraits. The one star reduction is for autofocus.

Olympus ZUIKO( 2.8-4.0) 12-60mm DIGITAL ED SWD lens

I started with the OM 2 film camera and have never looked back. Coupled with the E5 and and the 2.8 50-200 SD ED lens, this lens helps to cover a broad range. Olympus has consistently produced good glass and this lens is no exception. Even the 2 kit lens that came with my E 520 produce good results.

We have chosen to use the Panasonic L10 as our standard test body for Four Thirds lenses purely because it gives the highest numbers in our resolution tests (which we believe is most likely due to it having a relatively weak anti-aliasing filter); this is intended simply to provide the fairest...

Olympus Zuiko Digital 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ED SWD Review / Test Report

The build quality of the lens is exceptional. It is based on a combination of metal and high quality plastic parts. Typical for its lens class the Olympus lens extends when zooming towards the long end of the zoom range. As expected the lens suffers an only very marginal wobbling of inner lens tube.
