Three Olympus Zuiko Digital Lenses; 14-35mm f/2 ED SWD, 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ED SWD, And 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 ED SWD
The Olympus D-SLR system always included a series of pro-caliber lenses targeting serious photographers working with the E-1 pro camera. Since the introduction of the newer E-3, Olympus has also unveiled three high-grade zooms, the first in the Zuiko Digital line with Supersonic Wave Drive (SWD)...

Tested: Olympus Zuiko Digital ED14-35mm f/2 SWD
With the new E-5, tested , Olympus turns back to the Four Thirds DSLR format after a two-year push for interchangeable-lens compacts (ILCs). A fitting example of Oly's commitment to the format, this 14–35mm f/2 (a 28–70mm equivalent) is the world's fastest standard-range zoom for DSLRs and well...

Olympus 14-35mm f/2 ED SWD Zuiko Digital review by jnolan
You might have noticed that this lens costs a lot. That's okay, though, because it's absolutely fantastic. First off, though, it's worth mentioning that this lens is huge. It's heavy and it's big. I find that it feels good on my E-5, but on my E-420 it feels like I'm attaching my body to the lens.
Pros:
- Image quality
- Speed
- Weather sealing
- Build quality
- Pride
Cons:
- Size
- Weight
- Price

Absolutely superb!
Olympus allowed me to borrow this lens on a recent photographic workshop in Spain. All I can say is WOW! Terrific for night and low light shooting, ultra fast focusing, wonderful bokeh.

Too much
This is an awesome lens however this price is more than what they are asking at camera stores, I would expect an Overstock product to be less expensive. But to anyone thinking about purchasing this lens it's great and it stays on my camera most of the time. It is a heavy lens though.

Excellent optics throughout all apertures and focal lengths. Silky smooth bokeh for elegant portraits. Excellent design with great balance and tactile zoom/focus rings. Fast, silent and accurate AF with SWD motor. Excellent weatherseal, able to repel flowing tap water.
Pros:
- - super sharp & flawless optics
- - silky bokeh
- - f2 is wonderful
- - superfast AF
- - built tough
Cons:
- - a bit dodgy AF in low light

Olympus 14 - 35 mm F2
I bought this lens about six months ago and was verydisappointed with the performance of the auto-focus at wide apertures. It tended to hunt and then expose when not properly focussed with my E3 so I have not used it much, even thought the images produced (with manual over-ride) were startling -...
Pros:
- Bright
- Fast auto-focus
- Sharp
Cons:
- only fits 4/3 rd system cameras

...an essential part of my gear...
The lens, whilst not small,is not oversized. It's easy to carry and does not make the camera too bulky. I use the lens principally for taking street-portrait shots for a local paper. It focusses quickly and you can trust the image to be sharp.
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Durable
- Easily Interchangeable
- Lightweight
- Quick Focus
- Rugged
- Sharp Focus
- Strong Construction
