Good, small single length lens

This is a good lens that completes a wonderful physically small camera that takes very good photos. If small size is a premium for your everyday use, this is a good purchase.

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Lightweight; Sharp Focus; Strong Construction

Olympus 17mm f/2.8 M.Zuiko Digital

This is a nice little lens, great for street shooting. It's more than sharp enough in the center, a bit soft in the borders, but nothing terrible. The bokeh is nice and smooth, microcontrast is very good. Most important : this lens is a joy to use on m4/3 if you like 35mm FOV!

small; light; sharp center; contrast; nice bokeh

soft borders wide open; not fast enough; CA

Not perfect, but very good

This lens is all about the size. It's small, and on my E-P1 I love it. I now take my camera with me everywhere, and it even fit in my jacket. (That's not the case with my other camera with its L-lenses.

Olympus 17mm f/2.8 Review

As the first Olympus lens for the Micro Four Thirds system, the 17mm f/2.8 can be viewed has having defined the standard for prime lenses. It is also, potentially, a competitor to Panasonic's similarly-priced Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 lens, which has almost the same breadth of view but benefits from a...

One in a million

This lens is one of the best! It produces superb images that are sharp and full of contrast even at full aperture. Its focal length is perfect or the micro 4/3 system: I use it with a Pen EP1 and that combination is perfect.

crisp clear images; Fast autofocus; very useful focal length

I have never really shoot a lot of primes except on my M6. I never saw the point as sharp and fast as zooms are now a days. But I was pleasently suprised at how quick I feel in love with this lens. 17mm or 34mm equvilent seems to be the perfect focal lenght for me.

Small; fast; sharp; contrsty

None what so ever

Olympus M.Zuiko 17mm f/2.8 Pancake - Review / Test Report

The Olympus M.Zuiko 17mm f/2.8 is a lovely little lens but unfortunately it does disappoint regarding its optical capabilities. You expect a top notch performance from a prime lens but the Zuiko isn't perfectly sharp neither at max.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm f/2.8 Lens

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm f/2.8 Lens ($299.99) is a compact prime lens for use with Olympus PEN and other Micro Four Thirds cameras . The optic produces a field of view that equates to 34mm in 35mm photography, a very useful and popular wide-angle field of view.
