less so in corners"
"The Olympus 12mm f:2 is an amazingly light and compact lens, which fits comfortably in a shirt pocket, even with the hood attached. In my tests, compared with the Pany 12-35 f:2.8 and 7-14 f:4, at 12mm the lens is as good in the centre, but softer in the corners by at least 10-15% (one step on the...

Fantastic optics, beautiful design.
Beautiful jewel of a lens! I have the 12-40 F2.8 so was hesitant about buying a focal length I already had covered. But this lens has twice the light gathering ability as the zoom and is really small so great for taking out when you don't want anything bulky.

The 12mm wide-angle lens matches excellent design with quality images and makes it a must buy for Micro Four Thirds cameras.

Got the Olympus 12mm f/2 lens for M4/3 mount about a week ago and have had a chance to play with it a bit. Many people like me use the micro four-thirds cameras with old 35mm manual-focus film lenses adapted to them, which, based on the field of view you get, effectively multiplies the focal length...

Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 12mm f/2
On the Olympus PEN E-P3 body we used for this review, the lens focused quickly and quietly. AF speeds were extremely fast, with the lens locking on to the subject almost instantly in most cases.

Superb lens!
Sharp optics, great contrast, an elegant and well-built lens. Great for street photography. It would have been perfect if it was black and with a lens hood.

Great lens, super fast and quiet with amazing IQ. What more can one ask for
Trying to convince your wife to let you buy a $650 lens when you already own the Oly 45mm, Panasonic 14mm, and Panasonic 20mm is no simple task. But as luck would have it (and 2.5 glasses of wine), she agreed and I made the purchase before she realized what she had agreed to. No regrets though.
