Great lens for Blackmagic studio cameras!
Great lens for the Blackmagic Studio camera if you want to use a LANC controller. Zoom and focus are both very smooth. You may want to consider a lens with more zoom if you are father away from your subject though.
This lens doesn't work. When I attach it to ...
This lens doesn't work. When I attach it to the camera it starts making a weird shutter noise for about a minute, and then will say, "Lens attachment failed" I know how to attach a lens and this one is definitely messed up.
... the edges compared to a prime lens but a good all purpose lens
A bit soft around the edges compared to a prime lens but a good all purpose lens.
Great standard zoom lens for micro four-thirds cameras
Tiny weather-sealed 24-100 (35mm equivalent) standard zoom lens, quality build, and great quality optics. Bought it as a present for someone with an OM-D EM-10 and was tempted to keep it! The electronic zooming takes a bit of getting used to, but that's not a criticism, just a comment.
A good all purpose lens
I got this lens as a kit lens bundled with my EM-5. All in all it is a good lens. Good things about it: 1. It is a durable lens, weather, splash and dust proof is a great feature. I had some chances taking photos in a super snowy winter night, with this lens, I am worry free.
Olympus 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 EZ M.Zuiko Digital ED review by Thoppa
The power zoom and focal range make this a great video lens, and it also doubles as a decent macro lens too. Weather sealing is good but image quality for stills is a little disappointing and f/6.3 is just pitiful. So for stills, it doesn't satisfy me - thankfully, I have the 12-35 too.- Versatile - does it all
- Unspectacular - doesn't do anything very well
Great Lens for the price.
Great Lens for the price. Weather sealing, Macro, Wide angle and electronic zoom. Buy this lens you won't regret it. Ignore the negative reviews online, this is a very versatile lens.
The Olympus ED 12-50mm EZ lens: a great vacation lens.
Writing an opinion on a kit lens is a bit pointless. Kit lenses are packaged with a camera bod- Weather resistant
- nice range
- well built
- Slow aperature
- no lens hood
it out both on several indoors shots under less-than-ideal lighting conditions and was pleased in most respects, and outdoors. very good results on even moving subjects. Really good product, with highly applauding performance. Image quality is simply awesome. 5 stars for that.
a great kit lens for the om-d. can easily be an everyday lens, when it's raining and you still want to use your camera without a plastic bag around it.
- Nice build quality, even if it's plastic
- very good for video in bright sunlight l-fn for video strong "Pumpy" zoom control weatherproof easily one of the best kit lens for MFT not too big on a om-d
- aperture is not fixed and very slow
- Not really suitable for Variable nd filters because of the round front element
