Verdict: Strictly speaking, the LED-based OKI B512dn ($499) isn't a laser printer , because it uses LEDs instead of lasers to draw the image of each page on its drum. However it uses the same technology otherwise, which is why it behaves the same way as a laser printer, and falls in the same category.
Pros: Low running cost. Built-in duplexer (for two-sided printing) and 630-sheet capacity standard. Maximum 1,160 sheets. Has Ethernet capability
Cons: Slow speed on our tests for both the price and engine rating

Verdict: A very low cost per page and excellent monochrome output set this LED printer above most high-volume models for heavy document printing.
Pros: Good print quality for text documents, Well-built, Very low cost per page, Huge-capacity paper drawer, with override tray and support for an extra cassette
Cons: Somewhat sluggish, Wi-Fi interface costs extra, Limited mobile-device support, Bundled with "starter"-size toner cartridge
