Nokia N95 8GB Review: In Depth

The N95 8GB is a welcome update to the N95 and offers a more polished offering. There's plenty to like here, with a larger screen and improved battery life. Hardcore users who want to swap cards and expand the memory will be disappointed by the lack of a card slot, but 8GB should be more than enough...

Nokia N95 8GB

The Good Excellent camera for a phone. Surprisingly capable Nokia media player; Mac software a big help. Fast 3G and Wi-Fi. Stronger GPS features than BlackBerry. Good call quality. The Bad Expensive, even on contract. Symbian S60 unstable and at times difficult.

Excellent camera for a phone, Surprisingly capable Nokia media player; Mac software a big help, Fast 3G and Wi-Fi, Stronger GPS features than BlackBerry, Good call quality

Expensive; even on contract; Symbian S60 unstable and at times difficult; Rogers media software forced on users and less capable than Nokia's; Short battery life; Video calling nice; but unlikely to be used so soon in North America

Nokia N95 8GB Review

The Nokia N95 8GB was the first truly feature-rich mobile phone I ever owned. Smartphones had been around for a while but the Nokia N series represented a step forward and helped to really popularize them. The Nokia N95 has an amazing range of features packed into it and remains a reasonable size.

Nokia N95 8GB Review

With GPS, 3G and a 5-megapixel camera, the Nokia N95 ticks three important boxes that Apple overlooked with the iPhone. It's no wonder then that this phone is often called the ‘iPhone killer' and, in truth, it's probably the only mobile on the market with a chance of living up to the name.

Has the key features missing on the iPhone: 3G and GPS; digital camera produces great images; great build quality; decent interface

Poor syncing connectivity to Mac computers; no Mac software included; lacks a touch-screen; simply isn't as much fun to use as an iPhone

Nokia N95 mobile phone

Convergence - there's a buzzword for you, and nobody is embracing it more than Nokia with its latest mobile phone, the N95. Not content with giving you just a phone, the chaps at Nokia have crammed in a dedicated music player, 5 megapixel camera, satnav, Wi-Fi, 3G and HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth,...

Music player; 5 megapixel camera; GPS; Wi-Fi; 3G; HSDPA

Jack of all trades master of none

It's a great all round phone & is a great upgrade to the Original Nokia N95. I recommend this phone to anyone & would serve your mobile needs well.

Review: Nokia N95-4 8 GB NAM

Not much was said here that was good about the N95-4. That's because we've come to take a lot of it for granted from Nokia. And, who wouldn't expect that after years of successful phones. S60 has become the most dominant smartphone platform in the world.

Excellent camera; battery life; signal; balanced S60 phone

Semi-functional, with no big plus points

It promises much more than it gives, and in the end you'll regret burning a hole in your pocket (literally) with this oversized phone.

Big screen

Slow; chunky; ugly; features don't quite work

Nokia N95 8GB: This phone should have been knighted by now!

My N95 8gb sits forlornly on the desk next to the printer that only prints in red. I'm sure it thinks that its now relegated to the furthest recesses of my memory. How wrong it could be! There's a reason I haven't decided to cash in with all those "send us your mobile!" type places.
