Nokia N95 8GB Video Review

We played around with the Nokia N95 (exclusively from Rogers Wireless) for a couple days and thought we would show you some highlights of this device. Although we didn't focus on the standard phone details such as text, contacts, calendar etc..

Nokia N95

Nokia N95 is a multifunctional phone that has a stylish and modern design. This phone with its features can compete with a PDA. There is a built-in GPS-receiver, which allows plotting a route directly on the map.

The Nokia N95 is the latest in the N series from Nokia; it features an innovative 2-way slider mechanism that reveals a set of multimedia controls when the screen is moved the down, a standard keypad when the screen is slid upwards, and shortcut and navigation keys when in the closed position.

Nokia N95 8GB

It was only last week that I wrote at the end of my review of the Nokia N81 8GB that you should keep an eye open for my take on the N95 8GB. Well, if you waited, you may be pleasantly surprised; because I'd say the N95 8GB is a better device.

Nokia N95 multimedia slider phone

Music, video, mobile and wireless broadand, photography, satnav, email, blogging, office work, web surfing, messaging - heck, it'll even help you talk to people over long distances. But is Nokia's top-of-the-range N95 trying too hard to be too many things?

Nokia N95 8GB

I t has been quite some time since the Nokia N95 was put on the market. During the Mobile World Congress 2008 the successor was already announced: the Nokia N96 . In the meantime Nokia have put an 8GB version of the Nokia N95 on the market.

The N95 offers virtually everything a mobile user could wish for. But there are some serious problems to bear in mind before you buy.

Nokia N95

If you need an all-in-one communications, navigation and imaging device and don't mind charging it every night, Nokia's N95 raises the bar in the mobile world.

Best in class camera and camcorder; 2D/3D GPS satellite navigation; WLAN; mini-USB; UPnP support; Unique slider design; Stereo speakers

Awful battery life; Sluggish when multitasking; Average LED-based flash; Additional GPS charges (data and spoken navigation

Nokia N95

Filling the role of an HSDPA capable mobile phone, a 5 megapixel digital camera, a GPS, an MP3 player and a video player, the Nokia N95 is without a doubt one of the most feature packed mobile phones we've ever reviewed.

Feature packed; 3.5mm headphone jack; 1GB microSD card included; 5 megapixel camera; good display; TV-out

Price; poor battery life; build quality; extra GPS costs and data usage; sluggish performance; no car mount for GPS use
