Nobunaga's Ambition is a series with a lengthy history, dating back to the earliest days of gaming. The first iteration of the series came out all the way back in 1983 and Sphere of Influence was released to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

When I first heard that I was getting Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence I (wrongly) assumed that it would be a fighting game similar to the Warriors series. Instead, Nobunaga's Ambition is a complex strategy game more similar to Civilization , but with full control over your fighting units.
