The Nikon Zf is definitely not just a Z6 II dressed up in a retro coat. In addition to a very successful blend of traditional and modern design, and the enjoyable retro controls, the Zf also brings a number of very interesting features.

The Nikon Zf Camera Boasts the Latest Smarts With a Vintage Style
Nikon’s latest mirrorless camera might look like it’s from the 1980s, but it offers the same image quality as today’s best.
Pros:
- Classic film-style camera body. Dials for all major settings. Very well built. Excellent autofocus. Black and white mode. Surprisingly good video capabilities (up to 4K/60).
Cons:
- Useless microSD card slot. No battery charger.

Nikon Z f Review
The Nikon Z f is a joy to use and can be paired with older Nikon F mount lenses using the Nikon Mount Adapter FTZ II for an even more vintage shooting experience. Features and functions are also inherited from the Z 6II, Z 8 and Z 9, so it's a camera with some serious shooting power behind it.
Pros:
- Beautifully designed, Excellent image quality, Great handling
Cons:
- Doesn’t balance well with larger lenses, No battery charger included in the kit, Dual card slots include SD and microSD

Given that the Nikon Z f has the 24.5MP full-frame sensor of the Nikon Z6 and Z6 II, and the Expeed 7 processing engine of the Z8 and Z9, it’s not surprising that that it can produce great images. However, the Z f is about more than image quality.

- Magnesium alloy body, Traditional controls, Expeed 7 processor
Cons:
- No joystick on the back of the camera, No auto settings on the shutter speed or ISO dials
