Nikon SB-300 Speedlight is a solid performer at a great price and ideal size!
I own a Nikon 1 V1 and this Speedlight reminds me of the original SB-N5 Speedlight for that camera. Like it the SB-300 is small and will fit nicely in my Nikon camera bag at one end. It runs on 2 AAA batteries so unlike the SB-N5 you will need to keep a couple handy at all times.

Speedlight Flash SB-300 for Nikon
Pros: This flash attaches quickly. It is the ideal flash to use in low-light situations when the camera's built-in flash is just not powerful enough. Cons: Other thoughts: I highly recommend this flash for anyone who uses a Nikon D3200 camera.

Nikon SB-300
Great little flash if you want more power than your cameras built in flash. Also allows you to bounce the flash for more flattering lighting.

Nice Flash
The flash is definitey significantly brighter than the standard flash and has significantly improved indoor photos. I wish I had bought one awhile ago. It's tiny compared to some of the other Nikon flashes, so although it's more limited, it is very easy to carry around.
Pros:

- transport
- only two AAA batteries required
Cons:
- Limited functionality
- doesn't swivel left/right
- no LED light for video like SB500

Quick to load
I am new to photography and purchased this flash to ensure great photos each time. This flash is quick to reload after using. Easy to attach and safe little pouch to store away.Cant fault

Love this little flash! It's light, small and so easy to stuff into a pocket and carry. In real world use, it's quite powerful not-withstanding its modest guide number. It integrates beautifully with Nikon digital SLRs providing very accurate through the lens exposure.

Just Right
Love this for what it is...a simple, quick-to-use flash that fills in for the missing pop-up on my 850. Very easy to use, fits in my shirt pocket, installs quickly, turn it on and you're ready. Works well, has the added dimension of tilt flash ability... I'm very fond of my 300.

Good price
Huge upgrade from stock flash and bounce flash is a necessity. Even allows continuous shooting with flash under normal circumstances.
