If, and only if...
These ifs mean the strange fact that the Prostaff 5 12x50s are not tripod-adaptable in the usual way. If you are tempted, as I was, to remove the circular cap between and in front of the barrels, it will need to be scratched up first, only to reveal a female thread that's not going to accept any...

Great Binocular for the $$
Bought this item to replace a pair of Nikon 10x42mm ProStaff binoculars that I gave to my son to use hunting. I really liked the 10x42 set so I decided to step up the magnification to 12x. Made a real difference when looking side by side with the 10x set.

Nicely made and pretty sharp!
My 10 yr old 10/42 Weavers (made by Opticron) had some fungus growing in one of the eye pieces so I upgraded to these Nikons because I wanted slightly more pulling power. Overall they are a little sharper and a tad brighter and obviously bring things a shade closer.
