I found this AF-S lens competitively priced and as I researched the market i soon realized that PBtech would deliver quicker than most online stores and i received the lens within a few days. i was taking photos asap.

- Decent performance for an entry level lens
- Silent focusing
- Collapsible design
- Lightweight
- Compact
- Quick focusing
Cons:
- Seems quite expensive compared to current equivalents
- Performance isn't bad
- but certainly not worth paying a premium for

Not ment for low light conditions
Low light photos are quite shaky and blurr as f number is quite high in yhis lens. Tripod is mandatory for usage. The VR does not perform so well as in other nikkor lenses

Optically, the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II is better than we expected it to be based on its budget price tag. Centre sharpness, in particular, is good at most focal lengths, although you have to stop down to f/11 to get acceptable results at 200mm.

This lens puts the bread on the table...
This lens has bang for the buck; it is user friendly and about the perfect zoom length for long portrait to moderately long zoom shots.
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Fast / accurate auto-focus

NIKON AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200 mm f/4-5.6G SWM ED Telephoto Zoom Lens
Pros:
- Very smooth zoom control
- 100% compatible with my Nikon D3000 which is several years old now
Cons:
- Didn't realise that this lens was not suitable for standard people shots
- My fault for not reading the spec carefully
