Nikon 35mm f/1.8G DX AF-S Nikkor
A small, fast and sharp prime f??r $200 or less you can't go wrong. There are better performing lenses out there, but they are all larger and more expensive. The only reason I traded away this lens is the focal length. IMHO, 35 mm is too short for portraits and too long for most other situations.- small

I\'ve tried a few copies and this lens can\'t convince me. I\'m using a AF-p 18-55 now over a year, which is sharper. AF speed is much faster en tag on always. I tried this lens as a low light indoor but the combination 18-55 + bounce flash still is better.

The Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8 G ist able to deliver very sharp pictures wide open already. Vignetting is quite well controlled for a dedicated fast DX lens, distortion is a bit higher than expected, though. This is also true for CAs, which can easily be removed in post processing, though.
