Do not trust yet
I planned on using this product to shoot weddings but I have not learned to trust this lens yet. It does not always communicate with my Nikon D80. It often causes a computer reading problem in the camera and I have to take the lens off and put it back on again to get it to communicate with the...
An good all-in-one lense for Nikon D7000.
I changed my 18-105 lense into this one. It's an ideal lense to shoot different things without changing the lense. The size and weight are just ok for D7000, while the 18-300 lense is extremely big, heavy and expensive. Now I only use this one and the 35 1.8G to shoot almost everything.
Perfect Versatile Lens
This is an amazing lens. Sure there are some distortion issues with an all in one lens, but for a walk around lens its just perfect. Used in conjunction with a SB-700 and took great pictures of my sons school function. Also found it very versatile at a photography course.
Excellent all purpose lens
If you want one lens for 90% of your shots, this is it. Sharp, solidly made, an excellent range without being too extreme & Nikon's fantastic VR. Well worth the money.- Quick Focus
- Sharp Focus
- Strong Construction
Nikon 18-200 DX Lens
I have a number of full frame Nikon lenses to go with my D800E and 6 DX lenses for my D7100 or my D5500. Of these lenses, I would pick 3 to at the top of my list of superb glass, and one of those would be the 18-200 DX.- Great Zoom range and no sacrifice in quality of images, even when looked at under high magnification
- Especially if you wish to choose just one lens, this would be my pick
- Slightly more weight
- but not a deal breaker in anyway
Absolutely the best accompaniment to a lightweight DSLR
Absolutely the best accompaniment to a lightweight DSLR. Haven't used either of my other two lenses since this arrived. Sharp images with very little distortion or aberation across the whole range.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II
I think this is a good option if your not a fan of swapping, changing and carrying a bunch of different lenses. An all in one solution that covers you for a wide variety of photographic subjects. This lens performs best in bright conditions.
Nikkor AF-S DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED VR II - Review / Test Report
In this review we will have a look at how the VR II version of the lens performs on our current DX test camera, the Nikon D7000. The build quality is good, but clearly lower than professional grade Nikkor lenses.
Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR II Lens
While I hope to create a full Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR II Lens, my first priority is to include results from this lens in the lens comparison tools available on the site.
REVIEW: Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR II Lens
This 11.1x super-zoom lens for Nikon DX format SLRs costs around £590, sports silent internal focusing and Vibration Reduction II, which promises to allow hand-held shots to be taken at shutters speeds up to four stops slower than would be possible otherwise.
