Extremely fun wide angle for DX
I was torn between the Nikon 12-24 and this lens for my DX ultra wide DX needs. I chose this lens due greater angle or frame coverage and I am glad I did. That extra 10 degrees of coverage is actually a lot! I also was convinced that this lens is sharper than its 12-24 brother.- Widest angle you can get (at this time) for DX
- sharp
- high contrast image rendering
- Other than minor complaint about distortion at 10 to 15mm, I do not have any
- But such is the case with all ultra wide lenses, it's just that this one has bit more distortion than most lenses

Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED review
Nikon's venerable 12-24mm ultrawide zoom has the benefit of a reasonably fast f/4 aperture that remains constant throughout the zoom range. By contrast, the newer 10-24mm lens has a variable f/3.5-4.5 maximum aperture but, crucially, it extends the zoom range where it matters most: at the wide-angle...
Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G AF-S DX Lens
While I hope to create a full Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G AF-S DX Lens, my first priority is to include results from this lens in the lens comparison tools available on the site. This page currently exists because it is required by the database and content management systems for me to post information...
Lens Test: Nikon 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5G ED DX AF-S
The internal-focusing Nikkor is the company's widest DX zoom, with a 2.4X range that scales up to the full-frame equivalent of 15-36mm on Nikon DX bodies. Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements combat chromatic aberration, and aspheric elements fight linear distortion.
Wide angle for DX cameras
This is Nikon's only real solution for a wide, wide view for the Nikon DX cameras. It is fairly light and not too big. My only complaint is that I wish there was a f2.8 version. Nikon makes one but you got from 10mm to 12mm and double the price. I really wanted the 10mm so I went with this lens.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm f3.5-4.5G ED Lens – Review – 31
Wide Angle The NIKKOR 10-24mm lens is equivalent to 15-36mm in 35mm film terms. This is real-estate wide; not a distorted fish-eye perspective, but sufficiently wide to make the smallest of rooms appear spacious.- Wide angle
- Low distortion
- Manual/automatic focus mode
- No vibration reduction

Nikon AF-S 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED DX Review
Nikon's new 10-24mm zoom is mightily similar to the previous 12-24mm version. What Digital Camera reviews the Nikkor AF-S 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED DX lens...- Alternative option for Nikon users
- Slightly too costly
