lens quality not what expected from Nikon
I purchased this lens in june of 2018 of last year in used a few time and the lens barrel started to wiggle side to side. Sent it to nikon for repair. The barrel is fixed but now images are out of focus on left side and images have flare and glare at any highlight area as if internal elements are...
Happy with the purchase
This is an initial impression review and I will update it in the next couple months as I use the lens. The lens, although used, is in very good condition. The only used part seems to be the rim on the front having a few dents. The optics look fine and the motor/focusing looks good.
Good Quality and Value - Good Purchase
Very good quality optics. Good value. Decent build quality. Authentic product with warranty card included. Made in China. Received package had fair protection for the item. Excellent images, pretty sharp. Expect some distortion, especially around the 10mm end, but nothing that can't be fixed in PP.
Like this lens a lot!
I purchased this lens about a year ago as a refurbished lens from Nikon. As a real estate broker that would rather invest in my own equipment than hire a photographer for real estate photos, I needed a very wide angle lens to work with my then D5200 and now also my D7200, this lens is perfect for...
NIKON AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24 mm f/3.5-4.5G ED Wide-angle Zoom Lens
- I like the scope it gives me when framing landscape/architecture pictures
- There is a little vignette at times
A joy to own & use... but very expensive
First the good. This is a quality piece of kit that covers an ideal range from ultra-wide of 10mm (15mm in full frame terms) to close to a standard utility length of 24mm (36mm in full frame terms) making it more versatile than most other ultra-wide angle zooms that typically cover a range of...
A great lens
A wonderful lens for all those who want to have a wide angle and cannot pay for the high end lens. It serves its purpose very well if you can ignore the slight blurring on the edges of the picture.
"This has immediately become my favourite lens of all time"
I've been taking pictures for an awfully long time, I got my first camera over 45 years ago, and used it at the 1970 Commonwealth Games – my shots were universally rubbish, but I was smitten.- Glorious wide open spaces
- Less than ideal for portraits or sporting events
- also expensive new
Over priced Chinese made Nikon lens, I hope I never drop it. Easy to use, quite reasonable image quality seen so far.
The Nikon name and longevity convinced me to buy this lens over a 3rd party one, I expect Nikon to have ability and spares over long period to fix this lens if it ever has a problem. Good wide angle range and image quality is good over the entire range.- Easy to use
- Compact
- Build quality
