Outstanding Lens!
I love this lens-it is my favorite, thus far!!! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful macro or micro lens, and it is also wonderful for portraits. However, do not be fooled by the "VR" that Best Buy has added to the description...it's not there.
Pros:
- Crystal clear images
- outstanding close-ups
- beautiful bokeh
Cons:
- No VR as Best Buy has stated in their description

I actually walked into my local camera store with every intention of getting the newer Micro 85mm 3.5 VR, but actually had to prove to the staff that it even existed, so needless to say, I didn't even get to touch it. Must have been Gods will.
Pros:
- - Tack sharp at all apertures
- - AF override compared to other brands
- - quick
- silent
- internal focusing
- - accurate colors
- - Nano coating...apparently that's good
- - includes hood
- - minimal focus distance at around 2" away
- - 9 blades for great backgrounds
- - Nice solid build
- no shaking parts
Cons:
- - Pricey
- I did also pay the premium of getting it in store rather then getting if from Adorama
- Gotta support the local stores once in a while, - Heavy...unless you like it that way like I do, - Some may scoff at the lack of a limit switch, - 60mm means getting real close to your subject.

What a thrill!
This lens was recommended for delicate, close-up work and it is great. I have begun to get the feel of the additional weight in my hand. I haven't been able to get outside yet because of the snow to take some close-up shots and can't wait.

Meets my hoes and expectations
like one of the previous reviewers i have been using the 105mm micro for some time and love it! but sometimes it's not enough to move the camera back to fit everything into frame (something made easier for me by using the manfrotto macro focusing rail) with the slightly longer lens and i finally...
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Easily Interchangeable
- Lightweight
- Sharp Focus

Micro-Nikkor AF-S 60mm f/2.8 G ED (FX) - Review / Test Report
The Micro-Nikkor AF-S 60mm f/2.8 G ED is an excellent lens that delivers very sharp images straight from the maximum aperture down to f/11, where diffraction starts to reduce resolution. Typical for macro lenses it is practically free of distortion.

Nikon 60mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Micro Nikkor review by dhale001
I have been shooting a Micro Nikkor 55mm 1:2.8 since 1986 on a Nikon F3. When I bought a Nikon D90 three years ago, I bought this lens. I also have the Micro Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8. For flowers, general photography inside and outside, this is an excellent choice.
Pros:
