The perfect Lens for the wide angle nutter
This is a truly great lens, whisper quiet, fast focusing and you'll cut yourself on the results. Preferring the wide side of life this lens is rarely off of my D3 it just ticks all the boxes. Bright and with super Nikon build quality you can certainly buy this lens with total confidence.

Great Wide Angle Zoom
Use it as your primary lens. Also, consider 50mm f/1.4 or f1.8 as secondary lens as prime. This lens is a bit heavy, but as with all SLRs, you already knew you would be carrying a bulky camera.
Pros:
- Durable
- Easily Interchangeable
- Excellet in low light
- Fast / accurate auto-focus
- Good Manual Focus
- Nice Bokeh
- Strong Construction
Cons:
- a bit expensive
- Heavy

The 17-35 is fast, light and super versatile. A great all-rounder.
Lighter, shorter and with the same fast 2.8 aperture as the 24-70, this lens gives you a little extra angle of view which is great for working in close. I just sold my 24-70 to ugrade to this lens and am more than happy. Not bad considering the 24-70's legendary reputation.

Fantastic Lens!
I got this lens because I wanted to switch to all f/2.8 lenses for my wedding photography. I had the 16-35mm f/4 VR lens, but quite frankly I don't think the VR gave me any value for shooting wedding action shots.
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Durable
- Fast / accurate auto-focus
- Rugged
- Strong Construction

Must have landscape lens!
I have many Nikkor lenses. This has to be the sharpest I have. Fantastic for landscape!! I see this lens as my go to for a lot of applications. I was worried about the size but not as big as my 24-70 2.8.

A+, spectacular wide angle lens = stunning images
As a professional photographer I carry a wide array of lenses with me, but this one is truly one of my favorites! I love wide angle zoom lenses because of their ability to capture the overall scene and give the viewer an overview of what is happening and this one does exactly that.
Pros:
- Durability
- f 2.8 aperture
- Quiet AF
- Ease of use
- Allows for great pictures on virtually any camera
Cons:
- Price

Great for interior architectural and landscapes
I've been using this lens with my D200, D300, D300S, D3 and now my D850 for a total of 11 years and remain satisfied with its performance. This camera has produced some of my favorite landscape photos as well as making some photos for an interior decorator possible. It's high quality and versatile.
