If you like to take landscape or nature photographs, try this lens for shaping cloud, rocks, land or even tree or bridge. Just be prepared to get facsinating shape of your subject. It's wide but not too wide to ruin the original shape of the subject.

Nikon 20mm f/2.8D AF

I used this lens for my new d700. It is really wide for my landscape and architecture shots that I don't need to carry my heavy 17-35 2.8. It is also very useful for my wedding low-light indoors shots in church and restaurant.

Fast; Sharp even at wide open; No distortion; Compact and Light

Tiny But Amazing

I always stopped at 24mm when assembling a SLR kit. Anything wider was too specialized for regular use and good glass gets pricey wider than 24mm. Except for this lens. Amazing color, contrast and sharpness. Barrel distortion is expected, corrected with DxO software or Photoshop.

Nikon 20mm f2/8 D, the hidden gem in the Nikon lens line and my 3 lens kit

This lens is truly one of the hidden gems of the Nikon lens lines. Along with the 60mm and 180mm Nikon D lenses on my D700, it is in every way my ideal Nikon outfit. My recent Ebay purchase has now kitted me out to shoot virtually all photo opportunities I am now seeing in a two months tour of Java,...

Nikon 20mm 2.8D AF lens

This is a lightweight landscape lens that gives great depth of field results. Colors pop and sharpness from forground to background is great with this lens. Also excellent for architectural photography. Guard against lens flare and get compatible Nikon lens hood.

Bought this a few weeks ago to take with me to Disney World. Was a great choice over all. I have many lenses at my disposal to use. 16mm fisheye, 20mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 28-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm vrii 2.8 and a D3S. With only a few exceptions, I used the 20mm2.8 most of the time.

Nikon 20mm

One of my favorite lenses. You cannot beat the sharpness and clarity of a prime lens (non zoom). If you love wide angle shots this Nikon AF Nikkor 20mm f/2.8D Lens produces high quality dramatic images. Great for landscapes, interiors etc.

There isn't a whole lot to say about a fixed 20 lens. It is sharp, contrasty, and a bit fragile. All of Nikon's "very wide" lenses have "close-range correction" (CRC). This is a "floating element" that moves relative to the other pieces of glass inside the lens as you focus.
