It's the real deal. Genuine Nikon battery, indistinguishable from the original that came with my D5000. Charged it up and popped it in, and it works like a charm. I would definitely recommend this.

This is an oustanding battery, originally when I picked out my D3000 thought I was going to have to buy a second battary for a backup. The battery system is so efficient I have just been using the single battery. It has been about 4 years now in service and shows no signs of faultering.
