Nikon D5 XQD
The Nikon D5 XQD is Nikon's flagship camera and a dream camera for many professionals. It comes with two memory card options: dual XQD slots and dual CompactFlash slots. An authorised Nikon dealer can switch the memory configuration in case you decide to change.
The imaging capabilities are advanced and powered by the new EXPEED 5 processor that's 25% more energy efficient than the previous EXPEED 4 processor found on the predecessor D4S. Nikon D5 sports a 20.8MP FX CMOS sensor. The autofocus really stands out with 153 AF points.
An alternative camera is Nikon D500 that contains many of the features in D5 XQD, but retails at a lower price point.

Low light king
Phenomenal pictures taken at Carlsbad cavern in New Mexico. I set iso on auto while shooting with a AF-S Nikkor 24-70 mm f/2.8 E. ED VR lens. The auto focus was great and locked onto most everything I wanted pics of.
The D5 lets you select your preference-dual XQD card slots or dual Compact Flash slots. The XQD format is designed to take advantage of the speed that the D5 can offer photographers.
The Prince of Darkness
It was a difficult decision for me to purchase a D5 after owning a Nikon D810 for two years. I am not a professional photographer but a photography enthusiast. I shoot ~100,000 pics each year at high school sporting events, concerts, etc... I love my D810 and all that it can do.
would give it 6 stars if I could....
Brilliant beyond words. A major leap forward from the D4. I used it primarily for wildlife and motorsports and there's simply no equal to how it functions. Sensors do an amazing job in tracking subjects allowing for some amazing shots that weren't possible before.
Incredible
I do nature, automotive, and aviation photography and my god there has never been a better camera to do it on. The clearness of each photo, the focus capabilities, and the over-all feel of the camera is like no other. If you have the opportunity to buy this camera do it.
The best camera in the world
Having worked through the D range from the D2 onwards, I stuck with the D3X through the D4 as there wasn't enough of a jump to justify the upgrade, but the D5 is definitely worth it.- Durable
