Nikon COOLPIX S3000
Well built and a good budget camera but frustratingly slow and lacking in features means it's a distinctly average proposition

"Slim, Easy to Handle Nikon Coolpix s3000"
I got this camera for my birthday and was instantly amazed. Mine is in a shiny red but various colours avaiable for your own needs. Mine also came with SD card and a leather case. Setting up first time was easy to understand and was using the camera very quickly after its inital charge.
Pros:
- Easy to use
- Good quality photos
- Lightweight
Cons:
- Doesnt always come with SD card and carry case
- shop around

had a defective battery
I would caution anyone who is purchasing this camera through here if they are getting it for a gift. There is a strict 30 days return policy by the vendor even when the camera is defective. They won't waive it for just a few days.

you get what you pay for
Bought this for my girlfriend, didn't want to spend too much. I now wish i did, this is a cheap (and i mean crummy) camera quality. The firmware has a bug in that it says 'no image' for a random 5% of pictures taken (corrupt image files), the zoom broke after 2 months.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Large Clear LCD
- Small / Compact
Cons:
- Broke quickly
- Lag / Shutter Delay
- Poor Image Quality

Great little camera
Very small compact camera with surprisingly impressive results. Super wide angle lens - excellent in low light conditions. I've had one for a couple of years and although I have other cameras, including some much more expensive models this is the one I take with me most of the time because it will...

Nikon Coolpix S3000 Review
The Nikon Coolpix S3000 is a 12-megapixel, ultra-compact camera. The S3000 is quite a basic point and shoot camera that's really just a step or so up from the bottom-end Nikon L22 . The S3000 has a decent 4x optical zoom, equivalent to a 27-108mm zoom range on a 35mm camera.

Nikon Coolpix S3000
The Nikon Coolpix S3000 ($149.95 list) is a point-and-shoot with a 12 megapixel CCD optical sensor and 27 millimeter, 4x zoom wide-angle lens. While it may be a downgrade from the touch-screen Coolpix S4000 (3 stars, $179.95 direct), this camera brings several features through its 2.7 LCD screen...

Nikon Coolpix S3000 Digital Camera Review
The Nikon Coolpix S3000–and really all sub-$150 ultracompact digital cameras–is a step-up from a camera phone. It has a better lens, shooting options, performance, image quality, and battery life than a mobile device without weighing you down.

Nikon Coolpix S3000
The Nikon Coolpix S3000 is a super-slim, stylish and affordable digital compact camera aimed at the point-and-shoot user. With an aluminium body that's just 19mm thick, the Nikon S3000 is available in a wide-range of eye-catching colours.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 review
Not everyone's a camera geek. Unless you're cavorting around with a DSLR, most people simply want a camera that can take decent photos (translation: it doesn't look like it came from a cellphone) without bulking up their bags or purses. The Nikon Coolpix S3000 hits this market squarely.
Pros:
- Fast
- slim and light
- Very reasonably priced
- Mom-friendly
Cons:
- Only the basics – photo geeks should look elsewhere
- Nothing particularly compelling vs the competition
- Image quality suffers in the high ISO range
