It's a decent camera I reckon...nice and compact too which I love.
Pros:
- There are plenty of options in the settings
- I have had no problems taking photos indoors and outdoors
- night and day.
Cons:
- the red eye feature doesn't always work
- but no biggie

Nikon Coolpix S3000 review Review
The Nikon Coolpix S3000 is designed to be an affordable, stylish and fun camera, so it's hardly fair to expect cutting-edge technology. Even so, its basic specs are very similar to those of countless other compact cameras on the market, and it's such a modest improvement over the outgoing Coolpix...
Pros:
- Appealing design and styling
- Handy 4x wide-angle zoom
- Good value for money
Cons:
- Fine detail can become mushy
- No optical image stabilisation
- Tendency to overexpose photos

Nikon Coolpix S3000
The Nikon Coolpix S3000 is a slimline pocket sized digital camera. Apart from its small size the biggest attraction is likely to be its ease of use. This is also one of the cheapest pocket cameras available from one of the big name brands.
Pros:
- Ease of use - 3 inch LCD screen - High Definition movies - colours - shutter lag times
Cons:
- Macro mode - shutter lag with flash

Nikon COOLPIX S3000
The Nikon COOLPIX S3000 is a 12 Megapixel compact with a 4x optical zoom and 2.7in screen. Launched in February 2010 it supersedes the popular COOLPIX S220, adding 2 Megapixels to the resolution, a bigger screen and extending the zoom mostly at the wide angle end of the range.
Pros:
- 4x zoom with good wide angle coverage
- Excellent image quality
- Small
- light
- eye-catching design
Cons:
- No optical image stabilisation
- Poor quality at high ISO settings
- Narrow viewing angle on-screen
- Modest closest focusing distance

This camera is HORRIBLE
I took a chance on this camera because Nikon is supposed to be a good brand. I have a friend that owns a higher end model which takes wonderful pictures. The pictures I took with the Coolpix were horrible. I used this camera during a weekend trip. None of the indoor pictures came out.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 Review
The Nikon Coolpix S3000 is a 12-megapixel, ultra-compact camera. The S3000 is quite a basic point and shoot camera that's really just a step or so up from the bottom-end Nikon L22 . The S3000 has a decent 4x optical zoom, equivalent to a 27-108mm zoom range on a 35mm camera.

Nikon Coolpix S3000
The S3000 is pretty good for a cheap point-and-shoot camera, as long as you keep photo quality expectations in check considering its price.
Pros:
- Incredibly slim and compact
- Reasonable image quality for the price
- Pleasing design
Cons:
- Electronic rather than optical image stabilisation
- Some images look over-processed

I shoot zoos and I wanted a small digital to have around my neck to capture people-kids, without changing my 80 200 from my D200 and this is a fun camera to use. I could not have found a better little camera for my use. Problems: No problems,

Nikon CoolPix S3000
I've already looked at some of the higher-end models of Nikon's current digital camera range, including the P100 super-zoom, the L110 , also a superzoom, and the cheap but relatively cheerful L22 , a AA-powered 12-megapixel compact.
