Go for it unless you are a professional because it is fine for amateurs and gives great pictures. Remember to use a tripod when zooming beyond 125 mm unless you have extremely steady hands.
Pros:
- Maximum zoom (83) in its class
- simply awesome
Cons:
- Lack of external microphone jack
- no hot shoe
- no RAW

Excellent camera
Good quality photos. Stability at full expansion very good. Not too heavy. Eyepiece viewing makes for easier shooting. Full of interesting features including manual capability.

Maybe my inexperience
I bought this camera with hopes to record track and field events from a distance. My photos are very blurry. Not happy!

Really, really great.
I have had the P900 for three months. It is better than I had expected. Previously I had a Nikon 1 and really liked that but this is even better. Take a lot of pics of the grandkids in soccer, track, swimming and this is very easy to set multiple pictures so I can get the perfect shot as they are...

Best Zoom Camera
I bought this camera last month, it exceed all my expectations. Loooveeeee the zoom. Then I took photo of the full moon and voila!, I was in heaven. I don't have to crop my photos anymore. it stay as it is, it's original size. Very very happy.

Rugged and the best bulky wide to Super zoom Travel camera
Good camera. I stoped carrying my Nikon D5600 and many lenses tagging along during my travel. Does a pretty good job for normal - home, work, travel photography. Transfer to mobile is also fast and without hassles using the nikon ap. However I use my SLR if I want my shots for any professional work.

Got this camera for my daughter who claimed she can see the moon's craters... It's true! This Xmas gift was a home run.

poorp product, nikon did not want to honor there ...
poorp product,nikon did not want to honor there warranty,cos amazon bought it through another store,so nikon said it was bought through a third party,so they cannot honor warranty
