Review on Nikon COOLPIX P100
Digital camera is a high-selling product throughout the world as it is required to store the important memories of a person and scenic beauty of the nature. I bought Nikon COOLPIX P100 digital camera as it has 4x digital zoom and 26x optical zoom. I am using this camera over 3yrs.

Great camera...disappointing pictures
I am not a professional - I just like to take pictures of my kids. I bought this camera because my ultra-compact Sony Cybershot did not zoom very far and it was nearly impossible to get motion pictures that were not blurry.

Excellent camera for the semi-pro
I was looking for a new bridge camera that would replace my Samsung nv7 ops which i traded in recently. I wanted a camera with full hd video and 10 mp camera. I found this camera very easy to use out of the box, i enjoy my photography and often use manual settings on my cameras when i can.

Well I got my Nikon P100 halfway through February this year, just before the new P500 was launched. I don't think you will miss much between the two except extra zoom. I am giving this review purely from a travellers point of view, having owned numerous film cameras, then a Nikon D70(my first DSLR),...
Pros:
- Light, compact, Super zoom distance, superb low light exposure
- Great value for money

- EVF poor on long distance viewing

Nikon Coolpix P100
The option of view finder or screen is great. I take pics on the boat, being able to tilt the screen to see subject in the sunlight is great. I'm used to a point & shoot, so the lens cap is more to deal with but all in all, this is awesome. I'm hoping to have plenty of great pics from it.
Pros:
- Easy to learn use of features,which are abundant
- I'm really loving the sport mode
- It takes multiple shots(like a slide show)each time you shoot.You can pick and choose what to keep
Cons:
- For myself
- the grab handle is cumbersome,but I have small hands.I'm sure I will get used to it.The zoom is so good
- I sometimes loose track of the subject
