This is an excellent camera for beginners. It has an excellent zoom and high speed continuous shooting - ideal for the photographer who wants to capture lots of movement. I.e. Sports.

Nikon Coolpix P100
A year has passed since Nikon launched its P90, which was the manufacturer's first bridge camera after a long time away from this part of the market.
Pros:
- Focal lengths of 26-678 mm and stabilised zoom
- Good quality hinge-mounted LCD screen
- Well-rounded video mode
- Responsive overall
Cons:
- Signifcant blurriness even at 160 ISO
- Image quality overall
- No RAW mode
- Batteries charged inside the camera
- limited batterry life
- No automatic image rotation

Great Big Zoom Camera
The Nikon P100,BIG BIG zoom combined with CMOS, what a nice combination. The lens is fantastic, 26X zoom, great for all events and occasions... I really like the 10MP CMOS sensor, not the most MP out there but more than enough for your average punter.

Nikon Coolpix P100 Review
I was surprised to see Nikon back in the market with another superzoom announced exactly one year after the P90. At least until I realized that Sony has had a compact digital with a BSI sensor on the market since September 2009.
Pros:
- Excellent AF speeds
- Nice image quality
- Good high ISO performance
Cons:
- Delay going to video
- In-camera battery charge

Nikon Coolpix P100 review
The Nikon P100 has much in common with the Fujifilm HS10. Both cameras have a 10-megapixel back-illuminated sensor, record 1080p HD video and lower-resolution slow-motion clips, and both come with a 3in articulated screen. The P100 costs considerably less than the HS10, though.

The Nikon Coolpix P100 is an advanced digital camera. The feature that is likely to catch the eye of most people is the zoom lens that offers 26x zoom power. There are also a range of manual controls to get your teeth into too. The Coolpix P100 has 10 megapixels.

Great Camera
This camera quickly replaced a Canon SX30 I had purchased but didn't like at all. The zoom on the SX30 was nice, but the overall picture quality was terrible compared to my last Canon camera from a few years back (on auto or manual settings). That's about it.
Pros:
- Nice photo quality and it takes good 1080p video
- Big 26x zoom, and the camera is pretty light
- Recharges the battery through the USB port which is convenient in my book
- Big LCD screen and plenty of features
- Nice manual
