There isn't much you can normally say about a Network Switch and what you can say is already spoken for. The GS108 has 8-ports which all Gigabit enable (1000Mb/s or 125MB/s) which all have embedded LEDS in.
Well-Made; Fast as Hell

Run a mid size information technology department and usually don't look at switching gear that isn't Hewlett Packard or Cisco. But this device is solid, and is fully managed not some little POS device that will cause problems in the future.
Excellent product, very simple and easy to use. Easy hookup and operation.

These days everything but the toaster has a network connection, so you'll quickly fill up the four ports on your router. A switch can be the perfect solution, adding eight, 16 or even more ports, along with other useful features such as PoE and LACP. We tested 12 of them.
Plugged into a Netgear WND3700 router, linked to Shaw Broadband 100 modem. Gave everything a reboot for good measure. Works well to stream digital media to several devices in my home entertainment centre.
What if it's too expensive to buy a manageable switch but it's still necessary to separate telephony from other traffic in a small office? Usually it's typical to use smart switches that allow gaining control over the network with only a slight increase in the price of equipment.
Management simplicity; The presence of a cable tester; Protection against loops and broadcast storms; Traffic QoS support; Virtual networks support; Moderate size; Protection against simple DoS-attacks; Affordable price; Lifetime warranty from the vendor
The impossibility of connecting four PoE clients with maximum power consumption simultaneously; The absence of the Russian language in the interface of the management utility; The impossibility of turning the switch port on or off; setting its speed and duplex manually and to disable protection
Mounted on my wall connected to my router, plugged in my printers & computers, needed a little support from Negear, got the software working on the Web, works great.
This switch has all the options I need to monitor and manage my network. Initial setup was easy and configuration was what I would expect for a switch with so many options. Had to exchange the first switch they sent me because the heatsink had fallen off in shipping.
Although the switch itself has a "lifetime" warranty, the power adapter is only warrantied for two years. Our failed after about 2.5 years, and Netgear charges $27.00 for a replacement with is closed to 30% of the cost of the switch.
Solid little switch, love that it can be powered via PoE.
I love the hardware design, metal case is very attractive feature; Fast too, I had a an older unmanaged GS108 switch before, transfer speeds from my linux fileserver were usually around 830Mbps, with the GS108T speeds were usually 60Mbps faster, normally sitting around 890Mbps
