Need For Speed

Need for Speed takes driving into a gorgeous world with a modern edge, but its pesky attitude and strict online-only requirement make you yearn for the good old days.

Ventura Bay lays out a gorgeous; rain-slick city; Car customization is rich and fulfilling; Drifts take time to tune and master

Completely unplayable offline; Pestering story mode; Parts of the world are a lifeless sprawl

Need for Speed Review

Whenever I discuss Need for Speed games with anyone, and the topic of my personal favorite comes up, without any hesitation, I always answer Need for Speed Underground 2. That game introduced me personally, to the world of racing.

Let's start off with the driving itself, which is easily one of the most important aspects in, well, any driving game; In short, it feels perfect for a Need for Speed game; It's common that each Need for Speed title controls a bit differently, so it takes time to get used to the handling of cars, as...

Even though there are a slew of performance upgrades for your car; it's a shame that there's no easy upgrade button that would give you the best available parts that are both available and affordable.

Need for Speed

The good news about the Need for Speed reboot is that the actual act of racing in it feels blisteringly fast and well designed in a way it hasn't in ages. If the game's only ambition was to be a straightforward, graphically stunning racer, it'd be ever-so-slightly threadbare, but still a welcome...

A world of perpetual night and twilight. That's what Need for Speed offers you. It's a wise decision, but also an unnerving one. Having crafted a game that looks most beautiful at night, you never see the game world in the midday sun.

If the game gets patched up into a more functional state, there are things about this Need for Speed that make it a decent time, for a little while. The handling, specifically, is highly adjustable without bashing you over the head with a ton of fiddly little options.

Nothing Spectacular

The game could have been better. There should be no reason a cop should be able to keep up with a 1000hp car. Plus, it should've allow online gameplay with a cruise, rather than just focusing racing the whole time. Story mode, was also a little to short.

I love this game! I had it for my Xbox and I just got it for my pc and I still love even though I lost 80 hours of gameplay on my Xbox since I got it for my pc. I love this game and some of the nfs games.
