Upon starting the game for the the first time, you'll be introduced to the game's tutorial mode called "Learn Live." This will load up while the game is still installing so you won't have to wait long to get started on your drills.

Unfortunately this game fails on the basic functions, namely the controls, you're better off skipping it in favour of an NBA or another NBA Live game.
