This game is one of the only basketball games on the market and provides exciting gameplay that has many features like being able to play as the women’s NBA and playing online with friends.

I bought this game for my son. This review is from him (the player of the game). Overall, he likes the game, but there is room for improvement

We buy NBA2k every year. This is definitely the worst yet. It is impossible to shoot anywhere but in the paint and even then unless you are running in for an open shot. Yet your opponents seem to still be able to hit shots even when double teamed & with ‘great shot Defence’. I like the myCareer story & format of myTeam, however I can’t even win a one star domination even after strengthening my team from AH so no point playing. For a casual gamer this is not worth it. I’m thinking of going back to 2k20 so I can actually enjoy playing again.

Same game with a different cover. Save the money and buy 2k20. There’s literally no difference in gameplay. New shot metre, menu & loading screens that’s it.

Give the devs times to fix this up or just wait for the next gen copy. Mycareer story is weak at best. They have removed cut scenes completely. Commentary is pretty average. In terms of gameplay, it's simply 2k20 with a new shot meter that's almost impossible to use in competitive mode and if you want to get get good online you might prep yourself to drop some extra money. Worth noting your progress won't be carried across to next gen either. 2k20 is simply a much more enjoyable game.

NBA 2K21 is the best NBA game, perhaps the best sports sim ever, for raw on-the-court play. But off the court, NBA 2K21's emphasis on microtransactions makes it difficult to love.
