Motorola Razr 2 V8 mobile phone

To say it's been difficult for Motorola to follow up the massive hit of the Razr V3 with something better is an understatement. Since its release to the sounds of jaws dropping in mid-2004, the Razr has gone from high-end must-have to mass-market. Now comes the Razr 2 V8, billed as the next-gen V3.

"Great style, poor practicality"

I have had this phone for a few months now. I am really happy with it, probably the best phone I've owned up to know in my opinion. So I admit it, I bought this phone based upon its looks. I tend to put style over practicality. But overall I am very happy with it.
Pros:
  • stylish design
  • dual screens
  • good features
Cons:
  • poor battery life
  • slow interface
  • no upgradable memory
  • poor camera

Cracks

My rating might not match my comments - I absolutely love this phone (or did). I have been made aware of a hairline crack in the right hand side of my phone near the smart key. I have only had the phone for six months and have not dropped it. It does not have a mark on it.

Motorola RAZR

The Motorola RAZR is a rather attractive looking piece of kit; with its super slim frame it looks simple and elegant - unlike many current smartphones on the market. Of course, slim used to mean frail in the world of phones, but the RAZR is far from weak; in fact, it's sturdy enough to withstand a...

Motorola Razr2 V8

The Motorola Razr V9x is almost identical to the Motorola Razr V9 , but it offers additional features. This review will concentrate on the differences between the two devices. When Motorola introduced AT&T's Motorola Razr V9 last year, we were pleasantly surprised.
Pros:
  • The Motorola Razr2 V9x retains the slim and eye-catching Razr2 design while adding new features to an already impressive assortment of goodies
  • It's a good performer, too
Cons:
  • The Motorola Razr2 V9x lacks a speakerphone shortcut and its memory card slot is located behind the battery cover
  • Also, watching videos on the external display is a tad cumbersome
