By now I suspect you may already know what my conclusion will say and you would be right. The Moto Z2 Play is a mid-range device with a mid-range processor. The display is mid-range unfortunately but the rest of the hardware is not.

It's been less than a year since we reviewed Motorola's innovative Moto Z and Moto Z Play modular smartphones and the accompanying Moto Mods . While we were pretty impressed, like almost anything there's always room for improvement.

Quality design; Thinner; Sleeker looking; New Moto One Button Nav feature; Decent camera; 3.5mm headphone jack; Front LED flash

Smaller battery than the Moto Z Play; Not enough of an upgrade over the original Moto Z Play; Pricey; Much larger camera hump

I love all the emoji's and texting has nice features letting you know your text was delivered into the person's mailbox. I love this phone@ I appreciate what great Customer Service you have.

I love my new phone. I like the idea of the mods and it works fast and easy. The phone itself has a lasting battery, still at 60% at the end of the day. The only downside is that the charger is different than all my others. Overall, I'm loving it!

It's no surprise last year's Moto Z Play remains a top-tier smartphone. It cooked up almost everything to perfection, coupling top-notch looks with a long-lasting battery, a great camera and the ability to add capabilities via Mods.

Really pleased Vodafone are selling the the Moto Z2 & the added items ( MODs). I have used them and they are really great - the phone doesnt have all the added extra Android overlay software that some manufacturers put on. So its easy to use.
