Motorola E7 Power - Oxy Red PAN40000AU review

Motorola’s Moto E7 Power will compete with Redmi 9i, Poco C3, Realme C3, Realme C12 and others in the market, which are in a similar price bracket. Most of these phones have a 5000 mAh battery, except the C12, which gets a 6,000 mAh one.

Great Phone

Easy transition of apps without significant issues. Very similar to my previous phone in operation. Would give 10 stars for value if I could.

Motorola E7 Power - Oxy Red PAN40000AU review

The Motorola Moto E7 Power is yet another smartphone in the E7-series. This unit has almost same specs with the vanilla Moto E7 , but has a downgrade camera specs and an upgraded battery size.

Quite reasonable for the price

I bought this as a secondary phone to install the work apps on, and for that much it works fine. Miles ahead of the cheap phones from a few years back. The phone feels solid, the screen is bright and I've noticed only the occasional minor stutter here and there. One issue I do have with the phone, is that while it has USB-C, it does not charge from USB-C fast chargers (USB-C PD batteries or bricks) like more premium phones do. It only charges via the older method, so use with anything other than a USB-A to USB-C adaptor/cable isn't guaranteed. This is a minor annoyance as everything else of mine does charge with the same charger, so this requires it's own cable. Also worth noting, despite launching 6 months after Android 11, it's (as of writing) still "up to date" running Android 10.

Motorola E7 Power - Oxy Red PAN40000AU review

At first glance, the Moto E7 Power seems to be a clone of the E7i Power and in terms of camera, casing and battery that is certainly true. However, there are subtle differences that justify the surcharge of almost 30 Euros (~$36): More working and mass storage, which is also considerably faster.

no PWM, Protected from dust and splash water, long runtimes

outdated security patches, slow WLAN, dark screen..., ... which is unevenly illuminated

Motorola Moto E7 Power Smartphone Review - Enduring Moto phone for a small budget
