Motorola Moto E (2015, Boost Mobile)

For $99.99 on Boost Mobile, the Motorola Moto E is an exceptional value that should be the first option for price-conscious smartphone buyers. Display quality is on point, performance is solid, and the Moto E supports 4G LTE connectivity.
Pros:
  • Affordable
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • Near-stock Android 5.0
Cons:
  • Subpar camera quality

Motorola Moto E review: you get what you pay for

Between the software stumbles, the storage shortage, and the camera, you might think the Moto E a pretty wimpy contender. Frankly, we're not confident that it'll age well; consistent updates aside, smartphones usually slow down over time, and performance this sluggish and inconsistent out of the box...
Pros:
  •  Value never before seen
  •  Durable
  • water-resistant hardware
  •  Outstanding reception with solid speaker performance in all audio modes
  •  Good endurance
Cons:
  • If the Moto E follows in the footsteps of its immediate sibling the Moto G, it will go on sale in more than 44 countries around the world. Regional variations in pricing should be expected
  • in the US, the Moto E currently retails for $129.00, directly from Motorola, .

Motorola Moto E review

There are compromises, sure. The camera's not great, the processor lags behind others, and there are much better screens around. But this is a well built, reliable mobile that comes with the latest software. And for £90, that's very tough to beat.
Pros:
  • Great price
  • Pure Android
  • Sturdy build quality
Cons:
  • Iffy camera
  • Not made for games
  • No 4G

Motorola Moto E

Motorola is on a mission to kill the feature phone. With 45 percent of Americans still using so-called dumb phones, that may seem like a tall order. But with the new Moto E, the company might be able to pull it off.
Pros:
  • Very affordable
  • Nearly perfect color reproduction
  • Customizable rear Shell
Cons:
  • No LTE support
  • Below-average battery life
  • Lacks front camera and camera flash

Motorola Moto E review

The Motorola Moto E maintains its reputation as the budget phone to beat -- just about. With a bigger screen and improved processor, plus a superior battery, it ticks several important boxes, but we would have been more impressed if the screen resolution had improved or if either of the cameras had...
Pros:
  • Larger screen
  • sturdy build
  • better battery life
  • 4G
  • expandable memory
  • budget price
Cons:
  • Low memory storage
  • camera is not great

Motorola Moto E (2020) review: Great value at $150

Motorola has long been a go-to company for budget phones. The Moto E was first launched in 2014, and quickly became a fan favorite for those who want a decent phone for around $150. Six years later, the company is continuing the tradition with a new Moto E model that boasts a relatively modern design, midrange specs, and more. While the Moto E has remained a great option over the years, plenty of competition has popped up. Does the new Moto E still compete with the best phones under $200? Edge-to-edge displays have made their way to some of the cheapest phones out there — and the Moto E is jumping aboard that train. The device has a small chin at the bottom and a teardrop notch at the top, but it still looks great for a phone in this price range. The display sits in at 6.2 inches, and the bezels around it are relatively slim. That’s good news — it means that the phone looks modern despite its price range. The back of the phone looks good too. The phone is made largely from plastic, and...
Pros:
  • Relatively modern design
  • Good performance for the price
  • Clean software experience
Cons:
  • Camera could be better
  • Display isn't great

Motorola Moto E Review

Moto E is $130, and for that price you get a phone that works. But it won't be a phone that you love. Buy a $180 Moto G instead.
Pros:
  • It costs $130
  • Comes with Android 4.4 KitKat
  • Comfortable to hold
  • Great battery life
  • Decent-sounding speakers
  • Moto Alert is useful
  • MicroSD slot included for expanded storage
Cons:
  • No 4G LTE
  • 4GB of internal storage is not enough
  • Crappy rear cam
  • no front cam
  • Screen has poor viewing angles
  • Battery cover rattles
  • No NFC
