The basics Just when you thought bargains didn't get any better than the Moto G, Motorola gives its wonder phone a little baby brother to play with: meet the Motorola Moto E, an Android smartphone that's only slightly smaller and lower-specced, and at just £79.99 upfront, even cheaper.
Pros:
- It took a few years, but Motorola has finally left its "edgy" Batman-esque designs and needless Kevlar coating behind
- It was needlessly macho, and more than a bit ugly
- Like the Moto G and Moto X before it however, the Moto E is a handsome phone, if nothing more, with smooth lines and an...
Cons:
- Motorola's had to keep the Moto E lean to keep the price down, and that means a few compromises, though they're not also surprises
- For starters, there's only 4GB of storage on board, leaving a pretty measly amount of space for apps after the Android OS install - it's not a huge problem since you...

Very Happy with the Moto E
Purchased a few weeks ago and the Moto E has left me happy and satisfied. It's a clean looking phone which only misses a front camera, the only down fall I've experienced.
Pros:
- affordable
- android
- stylish design
Cons:
- no front facing camera

Motorola MotoE
The phone is very good. The only downside is the camera. There is no camera for Skype and the battery does not last more than a day. Remeber to put on charge every evening.

For the money this is an excellent smartphone and like everything about it. A standout is the front speaker which is loud and clear. Don't have to cup hand around back to hear. Better reading online than my Samsung galaxy.

Motorola Moto E 4G review
The new Moto E 4G is a worthy upgrade over the original Moto E, with upgrades in every area. For an extra £20 it adds 4G LTE connectivity and a front-facing camera, plus performance and storage improvements. It might not be as fast as the grey-market Doogee F1 Turbo Mini, but this Moto E 4G is a much better deal than the EE Kestrel, making it the best budget 4G phone intended for UK sale we've seen.

Motorola Moto E (2015) review: Lollipop and 4G on a budget
The Moto E (2015) updates last year's version of the phone in some important areas, boosting the processing power and updating to Android Lollipop. It did, however, neglect doing much to upgrade the woeful front and rear cameras on the 2014 model.
Pros:
- Great processing power for the price
- Clever
- dinky design
- Can handle some good 3D gaming
- Android Lollipop
Cons:
- Small
- low-resolution screen
- Poor front and rear cameras
- A bit on the chubby side
